Solidarity. Mixed media installation

This work addresses exclusion and violence against those who deviate from societal norms.
In Solidarity, a circle of camouflaged guns takes aim at a single, brightly colored gun suspended in the center. With its barrel drooping like a noose, this gun, 'the Other' is marked for elimination. The installation reflects how conformity dominates, and how visible difference becomes a target.
Mirrors at the base intensify this message. They form an enclosed, self-reflective world—one that excludes and threatens anything outside its norm. Viewers see themselves within the scene, reminded that silence and inaction often uphold systems of violence and control.
In militarized or deeply conformist societies, individuality is punished, and exclusion is justified. Solidarity challenges us to recognize the cost of this conformity—and our own role in sustaining or resisting it.
